Growing up, all I could do was live vicariously through the stories of my friends who had cottages. Jumping into the lake at all hours of the day, paddle boating around the lake, and roasting marshmallows by the fire pit. The idea of having a home away from home where you can spend some quality time with family to relax and have fun always sounded enticing. 

Now married with two children, my wife and I decided to give our children the cottage experience we never had. 

My wife and I live and work in Toronto. With our busy schedules, we often seek  nature to unwind and recharge.  Having this cottage is allowing my family to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city year round. 

As much as we would love to spend every weekend at the cottage, it is impossible. It seems wasteful for the cottage to sit empty when it can be enjoyed by others who are in search of some peace and a cottage experience.
